Ruchika Fest
27th & 28th June 2018

The Ruchika Fest 2018 was a flag bearer of innovation and classy elegance. The décor was ecofriendly, in support of the anti-plastic campaign. Old newspaper, books and cardboard had been aesthetically used to create a magical ambience, with emphasis on the club’s charity projects. The Entrance was an open book denoting learning for the girl child. The butterflies decorated artistically around the venue, symbolized giving women ‘wings to fly’. The message was ‘Education and Empowerment of Women’ – a cause very dear to Ruchika.

Laid out in the 42,000 sq. ft of Dome, the show had participants from around India and overseas. The products on display were a kaleidoscope of variety, colour and design. Several NGO’s are given free stalls to table their products. The Food court was manned by SR Foods, who did roaring business with their mix of cuisines. The stallholders could preorder meals from an app, specially created for Ruchika Fest, to eat on their seat. There were several sponsors who were given a prime position in the spaciously laid out hall. The décor was a show stopper, with everyone posing for selfies against the aesthetically decorated ‘waste’ newspapers.

The Chief Guests included the elegant Malti Jain of the DCW Group and the SP Jain School of Global Management, Naavniddhi Wadhwa who was crowned ‘Mrs Asia Woman of Universe 2018’ and the debonair Karanvir Bohra, TV star, producer and designer of his men’s wear line Pegasus. They lit the inaugural lamp to applause from all present.

The deluge of visitors on both days of the show, was an exposure for debutantes and a profitable venture for every participant. The collection from the Exhibition is used to fund Ruchika’s various charity programs through the year.
