“Ruchika's Medical Camp:
Free Health Services and Support for the Community”
Ruchika's Medical Camp, in collaboration with The Rotary Club, Bombay Queen City, took place on January 11th and 12th, 2025 at the Phoenix Towers parking lot.
The camp offered a comprehensive range of free medical tests, including blood tests, ECG, blood pressure, acupressure, yoga, fitness, homeopathy, and Ayurveda assessments.
Free medication, including pills and syrups, was also distributed as per prescription. Ruchika Club manned five large stalls dedicated to eye testing, where 1,086 free spectacles were distributed to those in need. Dr. Kuleen Kothari, an ophthalmologist, generously provided his van equipped with specialized equipment and technicians to test patients for cataracts. A total of 42 eye cataract surgeries were scheduled for later.
The Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) stall also managed by Ruchika Club, distributed 51 hearing aids after examinations by an audiologist.
A new addition to the camp was the cancer detection and support stall, where 250 patients underwent testing and received follow-up instructions.
At the main Ruchika office stall, refreshments, including bananas, biscuit packets, vada pav, and tea, were provided to all visitors. The medical camp attracted a diverse range of individuals in need, who benefited from the free medical services provided jointly by Rotary and Ruchika.
